Style session 6

On Friday 29th June The Style Doctor held an intimate Style Session for 35 guests at the White Room.

The beautiful women of Newcastle were welcomed with a St Germain Spritz, an elderflower liqueur and Prosecco cocktail,  as well as a grazing table prepared by Olivia Morgan Production.  “Elderflowers are so popular at the moment after Price Harry and Meghan Markel’s wedding so I wanted to incorporate them into the menu” said Olivia Morgan.

Guests enjoyed catching up over their cocktail or sparkling in the incredible White Room Space.  With it’s high ceilings, natural light, white walls and beautiful interiors, the White Room was the perfect space for a Style Session.

I then kicked off the Style Session and spoke to the group of ladies about Style.  I explained that I am a Style Doctor, not a Fashion Doctor and I always aim to enhance a woman’s (or a man’s) best features and minimise the features that aren’t as good or aren’t as good as they used to be, rather than following trends.

I talked about body shapes and showed the women some of the best styles to suit their shape with clothes from Lillies at the Junction and some pieces from The Style Doctor wardrobe.

I also talked about colours and showed the difference between warm and cool colouring and talked about Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring colours and what colours best suit different hair colour, eye colour and skin tones.

I also talked about wardrobe staples and how it’s important to have these trans-seasonal pieces before adding colour and trends.

Finally I talked about trends for the season as well as some essential styling tips.

The talk created a lot of discussion amoungst friends and I stayed to answer questions and clarify people’s colours.

The night was a huge success and a lot of fun and wouldn’t be complete without lucky door prizes and goody bags with thanks to Hollywood Fashion Secrets, The Soulologist, Salon Society & Co, Melissa Jean Beauty, Kevin Murphy Hair, Vogue Australia, Alchoholders, Viking Mama Low Carb Kitchen, Higher Living Tea, The House of Fox, Lillies at the Junction and The Style Doctor.

A huge Thank you to everyone who came and to everyone who contributed to a lovely night in Newcastle.

Now remember, please remain stylish or if dowdiness or fashion pain persists, please consult your Style Doctor!
